The Greek “monogenēs” is the New Testament word for the English “only begotten”.
1) single of its kind, only
a) used of only sons or daughters (viewed in relation to their parents)
b) used of Christ, denotes the only begotten son of God
The Surah Al-Ikhlas Says:
“In the Name of Allah the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
1. Say: “He is Allah Almighty, (the) One.
2. Allahus-Samad (Allah - the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, He neither eats nor drinks).
3. He begets not, nor was He begotten.
4. And there is none co-equal or comparable to Him.”
The Scriptures say (with searchable Strong’s Concordance #s for students of the Scriptures) that Yahweh/Jehovah is not only a begetter, in that God begat his only begotten son Jesus, but that we are now heirs, both sons and daughters of God by being born again… the new birth.
