Vitamixing…
Hello All,
Today our new VitaMix arrived. Tomorrow Kate and I begin a new discipline towards nutrition by juicing/blending 4 times a day. I will try to post a pix each day and report weight/emotion/health and any relevant thoughts during this 60 day journey. We are basically turning to a fresh vegetable/fruit diet for the micro nutrient value. Today I am 6 feet tall, 270 lbs and about a 55in belly. We will also seek to walk each day building stamina and visiting the gym for upper/lower body work. Additional, about a month ago I began taking Argi9… an L-arginine supplement to increase nitric oxide to the circulatory system… purging any plaque in the heart muscle and arteries. My next checkup is April 1, 2012.
Since seeing the documentary “Sick, Fat and Nearly Dead”, Kate and I were encouraged to follow the examples from the movie to finally deal with the extra weight we put on… mostly as comfort food over the last 4 years of caring for Noni. It led us to a less active life due to the ever present focused needs of an Alzheimer afflicted loved one.
Today I am tired, but excited within to begin this journey with Kate… we are not doing it alone. Thank you for your prayers of support and guidance that we will need each day.
