Adjusting the Rapture…
Adjusting the Rapture…
“Truth behind the folly”
As to the recent events: The word “rapture” is not found in Scripture but is meant to convey what is experienced by believers who are being “caught away or up or unto/into the presence of God.” This can happen daily during personal prayer, worship, visitation, invitation.
I enjoy enrapturing and being enraptured daily. Examples are from the lives of Philip, Paul, John, the boys on the road to Emmaus and the Brides’ child/manchild. The proof of one visiting this holy place is returning bearing a “thorn in the flesh”… which brings balance to what you have previously seen and heard in heavenly places of His presence.
Our renewed mind is growing, well adapted for all things spiritual, holy and righteous! But the gaps unto maturity leaves us longing for understanding, wisdom and mercy! Those disciples on the road to Emmaus (they had been with him about 3 yrs) had all their conclusions lovingly rebuked by the risen Lord Jesus. Nothing happened as they had thought! NOTHING! Their heavenly visitation lasted for about 7 miles. At first, instead of walking, they wanted it to be a sprinting marathon to be rid of this stranger. But something marvelous began to slow their pace. Heaven himself was speaking and their hearts began to burn.
Little did they know… they were growing into mature sons of the Kingdom. What could/did not happen for them in some 3 years was now a revelation/understanding opened over a 7mile road-trip. The difference was a visit… complete with the breath from the author/architect who had uncovered all the previous events they had witnessed.
Just because you have witnessed a thing over time, it does not make you qualified to testify to the truth of it… not until the living author breaths face-to-face and side-by-side, and your coals are ignited by His revelation will YOUR conclusions ever matter. If you have never been to this “necessary/no options” destination, just ask Jesus for a “road-trip to Emmaus”. By His grace, your spouse and kids will understand.
The New Age is but the Old Age repackaged… and these are Solomon’s words, not mine. The New Age’s rejection of grace, with their tinny truth of karma, is their downfall.
Karma is but a trivial substitute expression of “sowing and reaping”. Grace covers me when I fail to sow righteously/wisely to bless the house and his nation. Karma is not strong enough, loving enough, gracious enough or wise enough for my belief system, not after who/whom I see.
The lesson of Heavenly visitation is always the same, though manifested in differing unique creative ways… wherever you find yourself, “my grace is abundantly sufficient (possessed of unfailing strength) for you”. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves… but our sufficiency is of God.
That road-tip to Emmaus is the kind of “rapture” I’m talking about!
